the paw walk
privacy policy

Written for parents first, and for the Apple App Store and Google Play review teams second. It describes what the Paw Walk app for iOS and Android actually does — no legal fog.

Effective date: August 1, 2026  ·  Applies to: the Paw Walk iOS and Android app and the pawwalk.app website

1. who we are

Paw Walk ("we", "the app") is a voice-and-touch walking game for children aged 2–7, available for iOS and Android. A small creature walks with the child, points at objects, and asks "what is it?"; the child answers out loud, and answers are recognized on the device itself.

The app is made by Elyneva Studios, the app studio of GIGVI LLC (230 174th St, Apt 2016, Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160, United States) — the company legally responsible for the app and for this policy.

This policy covers the Paw Walk mobile app and the website at pawwalk.app. For any question about it, contact us at privacy@pawwalk.app.

2. the short version

Your child's voice never leaves the device. It is analyzed in memory during a listening window of at most five seconds, then discarded immediately. It is never saved to a file and never transmitted.

  • No accounts. The child never signs up, and we never ask for a name, age, photo, or contact details.
  • No ads and no third-party analytics. None — not even "anonymous" ones. No advertising IDs (IDFA/AAID) are accessed.
  • No audio, transcripts, photos, or videos of your child are ever created, stored, or shared.
  • The whole game works offline. The only network use is store purchases.
  • Everything commercial is behind a parental gate. The child's side of the game never mentions money.

3. what we do not collect

To be unambiguous, Paw Walk does not collect, request, store, or receive:

  • names, ages, dates of birth, addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses of children;
  • voice recordings, audio files, speech transcripts, or voiceprints;
  • photos, videos, or the camera;
  • precise or coarse location;
  • contacts, calendars, files, or other app data on the device;
  • advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android), device fingerprints, or cross-app tracking data;
  • any data from third-party advertising, analytics, or social SDKs — the app contains none.

4. the microphone, exactly

The microphone is the heart of the game, so here is its complete behavior:

  • When it opens: only during a "listening" moment, after the creature has asked about a visible object and a glowing listening indicator is on screen. The indicator is always visible while the microphone is open.
  • How long: a maximum of five seconds per question, and less as soon as the child finishes speaking.
  • What happens to the audio: it is streamed directly to an on-device keyword recognizer and processed in RAM only. It is never written to disk, never attached to a log, and never transmitted over any network.
  • Written retention statement (COPPA): microphone audio is transient. It exists only in volatile memory for the duration of the listening window and is discarded immediately after the on-device inference completes — within seconds, automatically, every time, with no copies.
  • If permission is declined: the game remains fully playable. The child taps objects instead of naming them; nothing is lost.

Before the operating system ever asks for microphone permission, the app shows a parent-facing explanation of the points above.

5. what is stored on the device

The following is saved only on your device, as small local files, and never leaves it:

  • game progress (collected words, journal, sticker state);
  • settings chosen in the parent area (sound levels, toddler mode, left-handed mode);
  • daily walk metering (how many walks were taken today, resetting at local midnight);
  • cached purchase/entitlement state, so purchases work offline.

The parent area inside the app has a "delete all local data" button that erases all of the above. Uninstalling the app also removes it.

6. the only thing that can leave the device

6.1 Purchases, handled by the stores

If a parent buys a subscription or the lifetime option, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play) under their own privacy policies. We never see, receive, or store payment card details. The app receives only a confirmation of what was purchased so it can unlock it.

7. children's privacy (COPPA)

Paw Walk is designed for children under 13 and is built so that it collects no personal information from children, as defined by the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act:

  • we do not collect names, contact details, photos, videos, or audio recordings;
  • microphone audio is used solely to support the game's internal operations — recognizing the spoken word on-device — under COPPA's support-for-internal-operations provision, and is never retained (see the retention statement in Section 4);
  • there are no social features, no chat, no friend lists, and no way for a child to share anything publicly.

Because we hold no personal information about any child, there is generally nothing of your child's for us to show or erase — but if you have any request or concern about your child's privacy, write to privacy@pawwalk.app and we will act on it promptly.

8. apple app store disclosures

For App Review and the App Privacy section of our App Store listing:

10. third parties

Paw Walk integrates no third-party advertising, analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, or social SDKs. The only third parties involved are Apple and Google, who process purchases under their own privacy policies.

We do not sell, rent, or share any data with data brokers. There is no data to sell.

11. retention and deletion

  • Microphone audio: never retained — discarded from memory immediately after each listening window (see Section 4).
  • Local game data: kept on the device until you delete it (in-app button or uninstall).
  • Waitlist email (this website): if you join the launch waitlist on pawwalk.app, we keep your email only to send the launch announcement, then delete the list. Unsubscribe any time by replying to any message or writing to privacy@pawwalk.app.

12. security

There is very little to protect, by design: no accounts, no recordings, no personal profiles. Purchase flows are handled by the stores' own secure infrastructure. Local game data lives in the app's private storage area on your device, protected by the operating system's sandbox.

13. international users

Paw Walk ships in English (en-US) and is operated from the United States. The same no-collection design applies everywhere the app is offered: because we do not gather personal information, there is no personal data to transfer across borders.

14. changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date, and the app will point to it from the parent area. August 1, 2026: added the operating company’s legal identity (Elyneva Studios · GIGVI LLC); data practices are unchanged since July 26, 2026. Changes will never weaken the core promise: voice never leaves the device; no ads; no third-party analytics.
